I'm trying to do the sentences for EOS 8,9 and 10, but I am very confused about 8 (Use a dash to set off an abrupt break or interruption and to announce a long appositive or summery) and this is what I came up with is this correct...

BUT when you use a dash, type in TWO hypens, not one. MSWord will change that into an Mdash (one long dash).
also in your sentence, you do not really need the "the" after the dash, just dash -- all evidence that the fem...
