Hey guys! I just wanted to wish everyone GOOD LUCK on our finals this week :-D I'm currently working on my last paper of the quarter (Draper's 398) and awaiting until I have to turn in my final re-do in half an hour. To be quite honest, I kinda wish this quarter wouldn't end... for the first time since I transferred to this campus, I never felt more motivated and passionate about learning since I took Tabor's class. Thus I'm definitely going to miss it whole-heartedly! Nevertheless... 'wish everyone well and much success in the coming year :-)

my opinion (like it matters)

I think that Dr. Tabor is a very nice and extremely understanding person. I believe that she is the most social and politically conservative (and I do not mean that as an insult) professor I have had to date - and I am a senior. I say that because, sometimes, she lets out glimpses of her views via rhetoric similar to that of my extremely conservative family members. I have never liked being in the class of a professor who makes their students do (what I consider to be) tedious things. That being said, what I consider tedious is probably viewed as easy by most of the other students. I have never enjoyed having to be put in groups with my other classmates to do research projects; that is extremely annoying and time consuming. I am also not the most avid of bloggers, so I was not heartbroken when I did not win any MVB honors. I appreciate Dr. Tabor's uplifting, positive, and open-mind way she communicates with her students. It is refreshing not to have to sit through another power point presentation. She has an obvious love for her job, and it is easy to see how much she truly wants her students to succeed. However, as far as learning anything substantially relevant to the subject matter, I feel the class was lacking. Dr. Tabor would - and should - be a great English, Creative Writing, and even Journalism professor. I am assuming that she is a great Sociology professor, but I have not been in any of her other classes. I feel it is sad when a college professor has to stray from the subject matter in order to teach their students proper sentence structure and grammar. Those are things that we learn (or are supposed to learn) throughout our educational lives, even into our first year of college. Perhaps that is why this particular class was, like I stated earlier, lacking. Or maybe it was because I was absent so much. LOL!! Love & Light everybody, and good luck with your book aspirations, Dr. Tabor. p.s. if there are any grammatical or sentence structure errors in my post, keep in mind that this is a blog. grin.

I just wanted to thank DR.Tabor for a great quarter.My second quarter here and so far i have had great professors, but this by far was the most exciting class. everything from the music, to the "comfession" circle :), to this Blog..it was fun.

Writting For Sciology

I just wanted to say that I love this class. I will miss it dearly. Professor Tabor is one of a kind. I had a defferent perspective about this class but professor Tabor made it enjoyable. I hope professor Tabor teaches other classes because I am looking forward to taking her again.

Everything seems to be going wrong...

Came to school today to print out my paper because my printer is broken, got to school with plenty of time to print in the library... and realized.. I left my flash drive on my desk at home. I have a 4 hour break after this class so hopefully Dr. Tabor will allow me to go home after class and come back to print and turn in....? ahhh the stress that the last few weeks of school bring is almost unbearable...

So i came to to school really early and i opened the link and a blank page opens !!!!!!! Help !!! I dont want to lose point for not having my graph :(

My rude customer

So this weekend I had the closing shift at the store I work at. This lady came in and asked to try on about 4 pairs of boots. I went to get them for her. She asked for my opinion, and I gave her an honest answer. She proceeds to ask me if I'm pregnant. (WHICH I AM NOT) I tell her I'm not, she goes on to say "because if you were I would hate to ask you to go back and keep getting me more sizes." I was so shocked!!! I am not over weight, but I'm also not a size 1. For someone to tell me that, hurt so bad.

But anyway, just thought I'd share a little story with you all.

I am soooooo going to miss this class!!! Thee best class I have had so far at CSULA! That is a shame it has been 3 years and I have finally found a freakin awesome professor! Well on the bright side only 3 more quarters hopefully wooo hooo:)
