Petition - Cameras in LAUSD Classrooms..smh

There's a petition going around that I'm not too keen on. It has to do with putting cameras in LAUSD classrooms. Am I the only one that thinks this idea is absurd? Are they just basing this petition off of a few schools (yes)? Won't that interfere with the dynamics of a classroom (yes)?? Will it inhibit the creativity of teachers, simply knowing that their every move is being scrutinized (yes)??? I think the whole thing is rubbish. What do you think?

  1. There is a petition TO PUT cameras in the classrooms? They are letting good teachers go and cutting classes and someone wants to spend the money to put cameras in the classrooms? Like what do "they" think is going on? Bizarre and very Big Brother is Watching!! Don't like it - don't want to be filmed any more than we already are outside the classroom.

  2. I agree with the comment above as well. I also feel that they need to get rid of the tenur rule because those are the teachers that don't really care about what they're teaching. Also teachers should be required to renew their credentials every couple of years because there are so many new ways of teaching and most have been teachers for decades and don't really know what's new or better.
