hm. slavery is America's original sin, a practice founded earlier in Europe. We still pay for that original sin.
Colonialism was the "way" of France, England, Spain, and Germany.
But perhaps you have a different definition of colonialism, e.g., equating capitalism with colonialism? US tax laws would have to be changed to begin to shift the global reach of capitalism.
