question regarding The Great Debaters paper
hi professor, is it mandatory to include theories/themes from the sociologists in the paper? for example, do we give an example of a theory that relates to a sociology theme in the movie? or is it not mandatory? because if we do... it seems to be more like a research paper. can we just look for themes in the movie that relates to sociology and then explain how it was portrayed in the movie?

the themes are just suggestions. I don't want to turn this into a full fledged research paper, no. but you could take a theme if you wish and use what you have already learned in sociology about that theme and also see if you see that theme around you today.
ReplyDeleteI had already seen the movie and left class early that day. Do we have a writing assignment?? If so, what are the guidelines?
