Since we discussed in class what makes us human, I thought I'd steal an idea from author Anne Lamotte, who might argue that what makes us human is the ability to seek understanding:
"We are a species that needs and wants to understand who we are. Sheep lice do not seem to share this longing, which is one reason why they write so little."
