Music connects us all!

On Saturday night, I was lucky enough to attend the Bienvenido Gustavo! at the Hollywood Bowl!! It is really great to have a young conductor and music director of only 28 to have been added to the Philharmonic! He is a great influence for inner cities that do not have the same privileges as others. His orchestra consisted of children from the South L.A. area and it must have been so impacting for not only the children but the parents as well. The children and Gustavo preformed Beethoven's 9th symphony to 18,000 people and it was also broadcast-ed around the world. The children only had 2 years of experience, and they played it beautifully! What an amazing night filled with love for community and it ended magnificently with a firework show to celebrate Gustavo's welcoming! :D

  1. Helping kids through music: there is nothing better! I heard that Nat King Cole's daughters are going around to schools all over the country and providing school kids with musical instruments that work and replacing their worn out broken horns and strings. What could be a better way to contribute to society? It's a beautiful thing.
