I don't think people are taking the survey because it's a really hard question to answer especially if you aren't in a relationship and thinking about that. maybe you can use this for your research, but that's just how I think. Even if you were in a relationship,I don't think it's an easy question to answer and people don't want to manifest their thoughts into a firm reality, so that question might be really scary to some people. just my opinion
And you dont have to be in a relationship to think about it. Its just usually a part of life just as having kids and even death. So its interesting that this is hard for you.
I'm male and I have thought about when I want to get married, but your question stated when we EXPECT to settle down. I don't think anyone can be sure that they know that they will be settled down by a certain age. My aunt had a husband then got divorced then another husband and a child then got divorced. then she went through many other men and now she's with a guy i'm sure she isn't going to settle down with. so, maybe she EXPECTED to settle down at an earlier age but changed her mind later on. As for me, I always wanted to start a family by the age of 25. Do I expect to settle down at that age? I don't know. Also, how can you expect to get married without a mutual consent with your partner. I think if you're trying to think outside the lines of a mutual agreement then your expectations are not very solid and most likely will be far from what you expected.
Think about when you'd be willing to settle down. I know I'm not thinking about marriage (I'm only 20) so my answer is when I have a degree and a career. So my answer is not an age thing but rather after I accomplished a goal for myself. Women/men should not feel pressured to settle down til they are ready, life is not all about a man/women and kids. Marriage isn't for everyone as well, and the more secure you are with yourself I think the longer you will wait/ expect to settle down.
