Wow! This video was awakening. I don't agree that religion is not necessary but that the issue is of truth. Religion can function however the truth will always be grey. We can only beleive in our faith because we cannot prove it like some experiment. Religion should not be a burden on society. It is a WAY OF LIFE. The problem in this world, especially with the monotheistic religions like Christianity, Judaism and Islam, is that since the truth is not clear the solution seems to be to separate from one another. This is what's wrong because really these religions coincide. There is really similarities between these faiths and instead of clashing there should be giving and helping, helping in making this world a better place. If Moses existed the belief is that he had a mission to do good. If Jesus existed the belief is that he had a mission to do good. If Muhammad existed he had a mission to do good. The basic idea of good and evil has always been a question to man and yet it is not of who religion is for but what religion can really do and especially to those that live it in its true essence. Religion is like our human body systems. There needs to be balance. Since we already know we're are not perfect, so born with sin, we need a balance in our lives. A balance of food to eat, you know not to be selfish and waste food; a balance in spending money like even giving to the poor; a balance in fun like enjoying oneself but also having time to reflect whether to God, or a god; and so on. Religion is a WAY OF LIFE yet I do not argue that it can easily be misused and misrepresented, especially in these times that we're living in.
Yes Ive seen this video before. A Persian muslim Professor once showed us part of it in class, which actually surprised me. I feel I have no religion now. I sure do believe in a God, a higher being that is most powerful than anything we can possibly imagine. But the stories in the bible I do not. But once you see the comparison from all parts of the world, there must have been ONE true story. I often wonder how all religions seem to be the same, but always fight amongst each other. Have you heard of the BAHA'I Faith? it is the beleif that all religions in the world are pretty much rolled into one. Their beliefs are truly grand.

Every teaching, thought, and philosophy come from very simple origins, distinguishing from right and wrong(socialization). I do believe in something greater than myself and feel that only i can reach the greater, but very wearily believe in the teachings of any church.
