  1. Yeah that would NICE! Don't get me wrong, i know what you mean! YAY for OBAMA! But racism is still here, and very strong! How nice it would be if it was totally abolished though! But we sure are moving a step forward.....YAY!

  3. It sure does bring hope to the millions of people who are minorities in this country. When I saw the morning news the day after the election, they put a picture of all the presidents of this country, starting with George Washington, and in the middle was the only black face, Barack Obama.

We finally are seein big, palpable changes in this country and it sure feels good. Now let's just hope that Obama is capable of cleaning up the mess of the Bush's administration.

  6. If only this were true! What can be said is that we've made a huge leap towards a more unified America! However, there still exists many people here with hatred in their hearts and minds. I think it will be less evident to our children and our grandchildren because it seems to diminish with each generation.

  7. Haha! You are tripping! America is fully of racism and no one wants to claim their racist antics. Everyone around the globe has the narrow mindedness as you unfortunately. Whites are still lynching in Florida and Texas that I know of personally. In Florida, there is a physcial white line on the ground that blacks cannot pass, indicated by the help of a confederate flag. Blacks know they cannot cross that line unless they want to get hurt. In Texas, there are ropes still hanging from trees used for lynching. Today, 2008. Climb out from under that rock.

  10. Racism will continue as long as ignorance continues. People are not born racist. They become racist through racist teachings. Until we all accept that we have the same right to exist in this world independent of skin color, race or creed, it will continue. It is a great step that we elected an African American president, but we still have so very far to go.
