Online Classes?

I don't understand why the university don't over online classes. I know at my community college they had some and I love them. I didn't have to drive to class and I decided when in the week to finish my assignments. The teacher where nice and I learn a lot; too me it was a virtual classroom.

As I am writing this, do we have online classes and I don't know about them? Or well, where to look to sign up for them.

  2. I didn't think they offered online classed at the cal state level. I thought since prices are higher than junior colleges, who would want to pay like 600 dollars to take a class online. But then again there is University of Phoenix...

  4. I hate to say this, but one of my professors stated "if more online classes are offer then that will decrease the number of professors getting hire in campus, because there will be no need for so many professors when two or three can tech online" Yes that are beneficial, but they will have repercussions! I'm just saying!

  5. yes - while I'd love to teach an on line course because it seems easy, I do not think it is good. there is something magic (potentially) about face-to-face

  6. I have taking online classes, I don't know if others have. I had a better relationship with classmates. One of the class had a group project, we would get on aim at a certain time; talk about who was going to do what. No one got in their car to meet; one lived in San Francisco, another in Stockton, two of us in San Ramon. Different is not a bad thing!

One of my online teacher mentions she was spend twice as much time on her online classes as she was on her regular classes.

As for what Dante mention, online classes are taught by teachers and they regularly look at their emails and answer questions students have. The nicest thing about online is not having to travel and not having to listen to those annoying questions like went the due date for an assignment is when the teachers said it two minutes ago.
It would reduce the price of classes because less classroom and electronic would be needed.

  8. Before transfering to CSULA I took a year of online classes at my community college, and I loved it. I think it is so time consuming to come to class. However, I did have some classes which I learned alot, and other's who were a waste of time. I would suggest that if a professor is going to teach an online class he take it seriously.
