Go The Other Way

I was once informed about the term "anti-philosophy." It was in reference to a conversation I had about my father and the way my brother and I were raised. I vowed that I would never raise my children in such a manner. I would do the opposite of what my father had done. My goal is to raise my children without using fear, aggression and guilt. I was told that this "anti-philosophy" would not produce the results that I was hoping for. In fact, it would produce the most undesired outcome. It tells me that setting any goal should not be a goal taken lightly. One's goals must be well thought out and thought out on one's own terms rather than reaction to another.
