  1. Very interesting article. I have been dating the same woman for six years. Whenever I bring up that we should get a place together, she tells me that she needs a ring first. She believes that the ring signifies an increase in commitment. To me, I believe that commitment is an unspoken agreement to be faithful to eachother and a ring does not make it any stronger. I agree with the articles correlation between couples having similar background's and marriage longevity. From my own life experiences, relationships that involve two people who are polar opposites, usually don't last beyond a couple of years. So, it was interesting to see my observations reinforced by the article.

  2. Wow! This articles was good. I am not sure if marriage is for me. I have mixed feelings. But this was good to know b/c I have thought about living with my boyfriend. However, I have not made the step yet.

  3. Good article. I was always under the impression that couples who lived together ended up not getting married to each other. After reading the article I learned that they will end up getting married..WOW
