Women’s Image on Cosmetic Advertisements

Hello Everyone, I am doing my portrait paper on women’s image on cosmetic advertisements. I want to focus my paper on how cosmetic advertising redefines women’s beauty.Does anybody would like to share any opinions on this topic? Any input is appreciated.

  2. dang, they didn't pluck her eyebrows did they!? what am i thinking...that's probably the first thing they did...to align her with the western ideals of femininity. so sad...so sad. i wishhope she will have stood strong in protest. you don't have to fit into these cookie cutter images to be beautiful! frida kahlo had the right idea preserving her unibrow..strong, prominent and she was still beautiful and she still sold art in the western world. the cosmetic advertising only serves to make us think we have to look a certain way and tries to disguise it as that being how nature intended..when we fall short it can cause anxiety and distress..WHACK
