Hearing stories from friends/family is very different than seeing it in a video. For my violence class I was required to read the book “Monster: The Autobiography of an L.A. Gang Member" It is about an eleven year ago who joins the Crips. Very interesting.
i cannot wait to see the second half of the documentary, it was very powerful and informative.
